Our autumn and winter toolkit aims to help raise awareness of how issues like leaves on the line, storms and flooding can affect rail services – and how we prepare for these seasons.
You – including our transport stakeholder partners – can use the resources here for passenger information and to tell the wider story about how we get our railway ready for the impacts of autumn and winter.
Materials on this page cover four themes:
- preparing the railway for autumn – explaining our proactive measures before autumn weather arrives
- delays explained – how autumn and winter weather impacts the railway
- how the railway is using innovation and technology to prepare for and respond to seasonal weather
- long-term planning and resilience – how we’re preparing for and adapting to the changing climate.
Please note this toolkit will be updated as and when new assets become available.
